Community Service

It is never too early to have "Great Expectations". With our "Great Expectations" program, Services Center Federal Credit Union will congratulate you on the birth of your child with an extra $5 deposit when you open a $25 savings account for your new baby.

The Roll of Excellence Scholarship program was set up for two main reasons: 1) To honor students who take pride in their education and work hard to achieve their goals and 2) To promote savings during teen years. This program gives away five (5) $1,000.00 scholarships each year to graduating seniors that have been in the program. Students qualify if they are in our field of membership, and are on their school's honor roll. Services Center FCU takes pride in our students who are willing to work hard for their education.

The Credit Union sponsors two FREE paper shredding events throughout the year. The purpose of this event is to offer the community a secure method to discard credit card offers, old bank statements and other personal information that could leave a person vulnerable to Identity Theft. For this service, monetary and non-perishable food items are accepted and donated to the local food pantries.

The Yankton Area Summer Band (YASB) was started in the summer of 1983. There are six concerts held during the summer season that run from the first Tuesday of June into July. Whether you volunteer to play an instrument, be one of the band directors, organize the six YASB concerts, put the programs together, help advertise the concerts, or whatever else is needed to make these band concerts happen, it takes many people to make these band concerts successful. Services Center Federal Credit Union takes great pride in volunteering their time.

Yankton Riverboat Days is held each year during the third weekend of August along the Missouri River. Each year the Credit Union's employees and members volunteer their time to staff pop stands, supervise rides, help coordinate events or whatever else helps make RBD a success.
