Become a Member

We work differently than other financial institutions since we’re member-owned, run by a volunteer board of directors, and a not-for-profit cooperative. We return profits to our members through financial education, reinvesting in our communities, low-interest rate loans, and higher dividends.

Who Can Become a Member

Our field of membership includes people who live, work, worship, volunteer or attend school in any of the following counties:

South Dakota: Bon Homme, Yankton, Clay, Douglas, Hutchinson, Turner and Lincoln

Nebraska:  Holt, Knox, Cedar, Wheeler, Antelope, Pierce, Wayne, Boone, Madison, Stanton and Platte

Immediate family members of SCFCU members are also eligible for membership. Plus, once you’re a member, you’re always a member. Even if you re-locate.
