We work differently than other financial institutions since we’re member-owned, run by a volunteer board of directors, and a not-for-profit cooperative. We return profits to our members through financial education, reinvesting in our communities, low-interest rate loans, and higher dividends.
Who Can Become a Member
Our field of membership includes people who live, work, worship, volunteer or attend school in any of the following counties:
South Dakota: Bon Homme, Yankton, Clay, Douglas, Hutchinson, Turner and Lincoln
Nebraska: Holt, Knox, Cedar, Wheeler, Antelope, Pierce, Wayne, Boone, Madison, Stanton and Platte
Immediate family members of SCFCU members are also eligible for membership. Plus, once you’re a member, you’re always a member. Even if you re-locate.
How to Become a Member
Simply apply online or stop in any of our branches to visit with a Member Service Representative. Must have the to following to become a member:
- Meet membership requirements
- Minimum Share (Savings) Account deposit of $10
- Social Security Number
- Valid Government-issued Photo ID
