Three Services Center Federal Credit Union members; Mary Malchow, Michelle Schulte, andCheryl Slowey, have been nominated to fill vacant seats on the Board of Directors. Each member will begin their 3-year term at the Annual Meeting on June 22 at 10 AM.
The board meets on a monthly basis to set future direction, establish policy, review operations, and receive training.
As a Yankton High School graduate and retired YHS Speech-Language Pathologist, Mary understands the importance of Services Center Federal Credit Union’s mission of serving local communities. She has served on the Board of Directors since 2003 as the Secretary, Treasurer, Vice Chair, 1st Vice Chair, and Chair. Mary’s knowledge and familiarity with credit unions will help guide SCFCU’s future and its member-owners.
Her hobbies include gardening, golf, reading, and walking her dogs.
As a self-employed daycare provider for 31-years, customer service is a value that Michelle recognizes in an organization or business. She has noticed SCFCU employees displaying this characteristic towards members. Michelle previously served on the Board of Directors from 2011-2016. Her Board and work experience will contribute to SCFCU’s goals.
Her hobbies include baking and crafts.
As a Registered Nurse/Nursing Supervisor at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital for 47 years, Cheryl has vast experience in problem-solving, directing staff, and working on committees. Her belief in the direction of SCFCU and the Credit Union’s ability to help others succeed is why she wishes to serve on the Board of Directors.
Her hobbies include gardening, reading, and sewing.
